I thought these were a great value based on the reviews. My husband took a look at them and told me they were crap. Well to prove him wrong I thought we’d give them a try. If you don’t fill too full or put anything heavy or sharp on it they are great. However, they don’t stand up to the regular day to day heavy duty kitchen trash. We’ve had several break or tear very easily. Not fun cleaning up those messes. Of course I missed my return window so we will just use these for lightweight jobs like the bathroom trash I guess. Definitely do not stand up to the usual duties a 13 gallon bag performs. As to the size, yes they appear to be almost 13 gallon but the bottom corners are tucked in and joined to the middle of the bag. If that makes sense-anyway the bottom is not big and full like a regular garbage bag.If you are looking for lightweight it’ll do the job but normal kitchen 13 gallon use-no way!
