Since I can't stand the gear lube nonsense for life, I feel better if I flush the gear lube every 30,000 miles or so. I bought my 93k mile used car and have noticed very little slip when the torque converter is locked. After I flushed the gear oil, it was gone. This is the second flush but I also drained/refilled maybe 15,000 miles ago. I bought 2 5 liter jugs of oil in addition to the 4 liters I had from my regular parts supplier (who no longer sells this). It was the perfect amount to see pure red oil coursing through my transmission. This car has now done over 140,000 miles and these shifts are almost imperceptible and my car drives like new. Would love to use this oil for my next transmission oil flush!
