I wasn't aware of the difference in aquarium supplies until I bought them and compared them to cheaper spiky plastic models. After reading that they harm our fish and tear the fins and scales, I invested in them. They are very soft, float in water, flexible but light enough that our fish can push off of them. I love the feel and the easy maintenance. Plus, the fact that they glow so brightly under our black light makes for a comforting sight when it's time to feed our fish or just watch them relax. Great addition to our pool!
