This shelf took about 10 minutes to assemble. light directions. Well packed. Bottoms and sides are attached to each other with wooden dowels. Then each side is tightened with screws. It comes with a hex wrench that fits the screws. No additional tools are therefore required. It also comes with longer wooden dowels if you buy another block and want to stack it. It fits perfectly on my shoe closet shelf. It fits perfectly on the shelf. It includes 1 pair of hiking shoes, 2 pairs of sandals, 2 pairs of tennis shoes, 4 pairs of slippers. There's room to fold slip-ons and add more. I wouldn't want to put anything heavy on it because it's not a heavy-duty mode and there's no mid support. But great for shoes. I have light bins upstairs. would recommend.
