Came across this device on the Apple forum. It sounded interesting. The reviews were everywhere. I have a wired CarPlay car radio. When I found out that Amazon sells them, I decided to take a risk and buy a carlinkit CarPlay dongle. The packaging was top notch. Almost like Apple. Very clean. There is nothing to say about the device. It has a USB port. I connected it to my Pioneer nex1500. The device has a wired Carplay. My iPhone detected a BT connection. I connected and everything. Car Play popped up and started playing. I think the BT connection is only for setting up a WiFi connection. Super easy and simple. Checked for firmware updates. Have been working on the latest firmware. Everything seems to be working perfectly. My 11 pro max connects quickly. The total time from starting the vehicle can be 30 seconds. The phone will indicate a WiFi connection with the main unit. 👍Update: The phone app didn't work the first time I used it. I heard the caller but they didn't hear me. Worked well from the first time. 🤔 There is a very slight delay when changing songs. For the rest. There are no problems to complain about. To update. I feel like a black box. After a week or so, the audio would sometimes become distorted. It is not possible to use waze and listen to Apple Music at the same time. Frequent cuts and falls.
