For your favorite condiments it makes sense to have this larger size. I've used them to make staples like sea salt, kosher and himalayan salt, black pepper, my own dried oregano and also great for brewer's yeast (popcorn) and cinnamon. I buy organic spices and they often come in sachets so this is a great way to keep them clean, fresh and easy to use. The jars also have two size holes in the top of the shaker that snap under the lid. I like the square shape. Doesn't take up space on the shelf.
