I use this product for my most commonly used spices such as garlic powder, onion powder, cumin, taco seasoning, chilli powder etc. Jars just the right size for my spices. There is no problem here and I really like that they give you lid labels and jar side labels. I LOVE how organized and clean my spices look in my drawer now. My inner neat man rejoices.

For your favorite condiments it makes sense to have this larger size. I've used them to make staples like sea salt, kosher and himalayan salt, black pepper, my own dried oregano and also great for brewer's yeast (popcorn) and cinnamon. I buy organic spices and they often come in sachets so this is a great way to keep them clean, fresh and easy to use. The jars also have two size holes in the top of the shaker that snap under the lid. I like the square shape. Doesn't take up space on the shelf.

I actually bought two different sets. (1) A set of 8 8oz jars is very suitable for bulk condiments. I like square glasses, lids and shaker closures. The small collapsible rubber funnel sucks. Spices cling to the gum, even the driest. I used my own hard plastic funnel which worked fine. Maybe the rubber funnels could be used for something else. Inaccurate description! Ounce is a unit of measure for weight. These jars will NOT hold 8 ounces (8 ounces by weight) of dry spices such as dried basil. Not even close! Instead, they hold 8 fl oz (8 fl oz, same as 1 measuring cup). Ordered these knowing that either the dimensions were wrong or the volume/weight description was wrong. As one of the 65 certified chefs in the US, I was very pleased with the square jars and spice label set. Glasses are not only beautiful, but also functional. I was very happy with the two labels that came in the package. Clear labels on the front of the jars and round black labels on the lids.
