Inaccurate description! Ounce is a unit of measure for weight. These jars will NOT hold 8 ounces (8 ounces by weight) of dry spices such as dried basil. Not even close! Instead, they hold 8 fl oz (8 fl oz, same as 1 measuring cup). Ordered these knowing that either the dimensions were wrong or the volume/weight description was wrong. When the description mentioned a lot of dried spices and herbs, I hoped they were the first. When I received it I found out that this is the last one. The jars are slightly larger than the standard square condiment containers bought at the grocery store. They are not suitable for storing large quantities of dried herbs. They are decent though and come with a set of labels, 2 sets of shaker heads with different hole sizes (which fit under the lids when on) and a collapsible funnel. The funnel is cool, but made of silicone, so probably too sticky for dried spices and herbs. Nice set but very misleading description and they didn't suit our storage needs.
