First impression. Good strong rod with a few spots to extend the rod. Around 1 on most rods. The bar itself has a larger diameter and protrusions to keep your hands from tiring and from slipping. The dust head is small, but as my husband pointed out, if it were bigger, it would be too heavy for the extended pole. Okay, I bought this statement. The ceiling height in our living room and foyer is 12 feet 6 inches; This bar reached the corners with much extension remaining. Small clumps of dust that stick to the structured ceiling are easily removed by the brush head, as are the ventilation slats on the cold air return. A large mural hangs on one wall and a large painting above the fireplace on the other. He was able to get to the top of these pieces and pick up all the dust that was there. So for our first detour with this one I give 5 stars. We'll see how long it lasts and if anything happens I'll edit my review but so far I'm impressed.
