We got them after a visit to the pediatrician. On two separate occasions we were told to remove all blue light from the bedrooms. Our son relied on the night light built into his monitor. He had some trouble sleeping at night and when this was brought up the first question both doctors asked was "Are there blue lights in the room?". So we taped off his fan display, turned off his old night light and replaced it with one of these. The results were huge. There really might be something to that blue light. We've since removed them from our bedroom as well. As for the product itself, they are bigger and brighter than many think. More suitable for the hallway. However, Amber Nightlights (which both doctors said we should have gotten) are hard to come by at a good price. That's a great value, even if they're a bit bright. We just taped off a section and couldn't be happier.
