very bad design. Unfortunately, if you have a PetSafe Electronic SmartDoor and want to mount it to a solid outside wall rather than a door, you MUST buy this. This kit is MUCH overpriced compared to what you get which is two molded plastic cases. Designers are really lazy. Installation is tedious and the screw holes had to be pushed through to clamp on either side of the wall kit with the wall in between. In addition, the screw holes remain open and look unsightly. Where the two parts connect internally is also poorly designed. There is no way to seal the parts to be joined and I had to improvise with my own screws. The outside is then fully exposed to the elements. If you live in a rainy area, unless you like your walls clean and damp inside, forget about that dog door.
