Review on Nikon D3100 DSLR Camera with Auto Focus-S Nikkor Zoom Lens (Discontinued by Manufacturer) by Airi Ohtsuka ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I am amazed at how well the product is made, just magically!

I consider it to be one of the best among devices in its price category (in terms of price / features / quality ratio). It can be used not only as a "pioneer" SLR, but also as a second camera for reportage work. 3 fps certainly not a fountain, but the price of the device is not 60 thousand. In general, if you throw out everything unnecessary from it, such as videos, tutorials and built-in graphic editors, and give even more camera capabilities, that’s for sure, it would be a hit for 5 years. Of the "classmates" I can only call Pentax K-r close-lying. My rating is "atlichny".

Pros
  • To be honest, it was urgently bought during MAKS 2022, since the second camera ("carcass") died of its own death from old age (D90) and "unfortunate" exploitation. 1. This is Nikon. Those who have come across this "mirror brand" do not need to bother with a thick manual. And so everything is clear. "Glass" hung up and immediately into battle. 2. Weight and ergonomics (an important factor) when a telephoto is fastened to the carcass. 3. Pleased with the battery. Really "runs" more than the declared 550 (and with VR and AF turned on on the Nikkor 70-300 glass). 4. Fast autofocus. 5. Pleased with the buffer on a series of shots. I thought it would slow down, but no, Schelkaet "with a bang."
Cons
  • I will not rank any backlash-laces among the shortcomings. 1. Few functional shortcut buttons. While you get to the bottom of the desired item in the menu, the moving object fades (runs away, flies away, floats away). 2. Throw out the video from it. Expensive and unnecessary. THIS IS A CAMERA! It would be better to put bracketing and a more powerful autofocus system into the camera instead (as is done in the D5200). 3. If the LV mode is already present, then make the monitor multi-position. In the "deadly stuck" version in which it exists (monitor), the mode does not justify itself. I can shoot through the viewfinder too. 4. For the life of me, I did not find on the display where it shows the current ISO. Either I'm blind, or the guys didn't finish it. 5. At high ISOs, it starts to glow a little. I also suffered until I manually set the white balance.
