Shark gets 1 star for misleading advertising

Let me be clear that for the most part this is a really good vacuum cleaner. The self-cleaning roller is great, the suction power is adequate, and the dust box is spacious enough for use around the pet house. Since it isn't, I'll devote the rest of this review to explaining my 1 star. Review: One of the main reasons I bought this vacuum is the 12 foot hose with a detachable tip. See the photo that accompanies this review? It's also listed here on Revain. You'll find the lady nonchalantly vacuuming her stairs with this lovely 12ft hose while the vacuum is right downstairs. Here's the thing: it doesn't happen. The hose extends up to 12 feet, but you literally have to mount the vacuum to something to use it at that length. The cleaner will tip over as soon as you pull the hose a few inches beyond its fully retracted length. If you try to do what she is doing in this photo, the cleaner will fall and hit the dog long before he gets up. long gone. By the time she got as far up the stairs as in the photo, the vacuum cleaner would have dragged up at least 3 steps. At this point you might be thinking: maybe all you have to do is pull on the hose to lengthen it. it, and then you can use it in its full length? No, the hose is fully retracted as soon as you release it. I tried to "break it completely" by stretching it. It doesn't stay extended. This is a downright misleading advertisement by Shark. You know very well that their advertisement of the capabilities of this vacuum cleaner is untrue. I upgraded and downgraded this vacuum to knockout status for several months. It was thrown, thrown (I mean spanked, I mean; this vacuum is extremely annoying to use and therefore - for me - difficult to maintain) on hardwood/tile floors, concrete, asphalt and my gravel driveway. . That's because it falls off when I pull on the hose. When I'm outside, I just drag it across the floor by pulling on the hose. So it has been treated for about a year and everything is still working and intact on it. Take it as you will when it comes to its longevity. That's the only reason I keep buying Shark products - they don't fail. Why didn't I just send this model back? Got a huge discount on it and thought it was worth what I paid for it, although it ended up not living up to expectations.
