Review on Contact lenses Alcon Dailies Total1, 30 pcs., R 8.5, D -9.5 by Ada Niewiadomska ᠌

Practical product, nothing to complain about.

All in all, IMHO, this lens can be a good option for people with sensitive eyes who don't like other lenses because of the feeling of dryness or pressure on the eyes. I hope Alcon will release more product lines with this material (by the way, the description on says that the material is silicone hydrogel, although Alcon themselves call it a water-gradient material). it is a very successful material in terms of eye comfort.

Pros
  • The outer surface is really very slippery. I use one astigmatism lens (unfortunately there is no version of Total1 for astigmatism) and a second regular one, so you can see the difference right away. If there are no problems removing a regular lens (I use acuvue oasys) - it practically sticks to a dry finger, then this Total1 is very slippery, and it is somewhat more difficult to remove it. Even after a whole day of use. Also, the Total1 is quite thin and soft compared to the same acuvue oasys, which feels much stiffer. Total1 is almost not felt on the eye. In general, as far as comfort is concerned, everything is at an excellent level.
Cons
  • Total1 diameter is 2mm smaller than Oasys. Combined with the thinness and softness of the Total1 lens, this results in a not-so-confident setting of the lens in the right place. Periodically, some distortions appear in the field of view, the picture is blurred. You have to close your eyes, roll your eyes, and blink a little, after which the lens again takes the correct position, and everything becomes normal. The same story, sometimes it happens when you need to look down, or sideways. In fairness, I will say that this also sometimes happens with acuvue oasys, but much less often. Took off one star for this. Otherwise, the lens is very comfortable.
