I got a free used outdoor wicker set for my covered deck, the cushions were in rough shape in the looks department but the fill was still good and new ones would be expensive so I was looking for a quick cheaper fix. These are NOT meant to be used outdoors and I knew that when purchasing (I keep the furniture covered when not in use). Upon opening, these were nice and soft, had a lot of stretch and looked nice. The fit was ok for my needs with some tweaking. I had zero expectations about them being suitable as an outdoor cover which is fine. BUT. after sitting on them for the first time, and for an hour or so, I noticed that they were already starting to pill up. So I am sure that washing them will result in more pilling. They are also really thin but many slipcovers are. They worked for me but I would not use them inside on a high traffic piece of furniture. Or even a moderately used one.
