The base consists of two parts that need to be assembled and attached to the bottom of the fan. The instructions tried to get me to snap it around the string at the bottom, but I didn't seem to have enough hands to hold it all together. So I assembled the bottom and stretched out the cord. Make sure you line up the base with the correct spot on the bottom of the fan as there is a specific direction it needs to be assembled. After assembly, the fan inside the base wobbles a bit. However, the base stands absolutely stable on the ground, so that the fan stands stable. However, as you can see in the video, the fan shakes a bit when I press the button. However, this is my only fan criticism. Since I plan to use the remote most of the time, it doesn't really bother me. The fan is incredibly easy to use. You don't have to look at the instructions to find out. In the center of the device is a power button surrounded by four other buttons: timer, swing, speed, and mode. The timer is such that you can set it to turn off automatically between 1 and 15 hours (in one hour increments). The swing setting turns the swing function on or off when pointing in one direction and blowing air or rotating back and forth to blow air. The speed indicates how fast the air is blown out (low, medium or high). 3 modes are interesting. One mode when it blows continuously and two modes when it blows and turns on and also varies the speed. Maybe I'll add more videos for the modes. The airflow is strong and helps cool the entire room. It's quiet so it won't disturb me or anyone else on video calls. At first it seemed to me that the modes were weird. Why do you want the air to change speed, turn on and off? However, I really like this feature now. It's great that the room air doesn't get stuffy without a constant wind.
