Formally, we had an Ikea table of very poor quality that we didn't like at all. In the end we decided to replace it and I've been hooked on it for a long time. He's very strong. The quality compared to what we had is impeccable. The table itself is amazing but our table top had some imperfections. I was very, very gentle putting it together. The slab remained face down on the carpet until the chairs were assembled and the legs placed on the table. When I turned it over, I noticed that it had a large scratch on one of the corners. At the top was a large black streak that was erased with a magic eraser and smeared the elbow a little. Then I noticed a handful of blisters on the tree, nothing to rub off, it was the tree itself. They're small so it's not a big deal but a bummer. I'm a perfectionist and my husband has OCD so we were a little concerned. All in all, it's still an update, but just a warning, it might not be perfect.
