We bought this remote for our 2017 Roku Express.1. This isn't an original Roku remote, but it does the job. half-assed. First, the edges aren't rounded or smooth. The remote is lighter and feels like a cheap kid's toy remote in your hand compared to the original Roku remote. It's a little annoying but that's not why we gave it 3 stars.2. We give it 3 stars because its performance is below average. It definitely doesn't have the same range as the original remote. Where we could use the original from our lap, we need to keep the remote flush with the Roku for it to work. Check out how we complain about having to put our hands up to watch TV. But we also take a stand on that. Overall, it's not as good and doesn't work or feel as well as the original Roku remote. Is that a reason to pay $20 for a replacement Roku remote instead of $6 for this one? Well, it depends on the consumer. A cheap replacement was important to us. But if you replace the remote for $20, you can replace the entire Roku Express at this point. If this comment is helpful, let me know!
