Just tried this LiDE 400 scanner on my laptop with Windows 7 64-bit and Canon software downloaded. Everything I've tried so far works flawlessly. Based on another review, I scanned the punch side and the scan was error free. I scanned photos at 600 dpi and it worked fine (that's the max of scanning software). I don't know how to get those canon claims at 4800dpi. Cable standard USB-USB-c. I've tried using the scanner with a different cable than the one that came with it (cell phone cable) and it works the same, so it's not a proprietary cable. while everything works.
