I bought a Surface Pro 4 LCD screen to replace my broken one but it was flickering so much I had to return it. There is no way to fix the flickering with simple software. I decided to buy this Surface Pro 5 and an LCD conversion cable. It worked like a charm and there was no flickering to worry about with 5th Gen Surface screens. I had to reconfigure the touch module three times before I could reseal the Surface. Once the touch controls work properly, everything works great. These screens are extremely sensitive. I was afraid it would break during shipping, but it was packaged well. If you have a Surface Pro 4 and need an LCD replacement, I strongly recommend that you consider purchasing a Surface Pro 5 screen with an LCD conversion cable to avoid replacing a flickering LCD.
