I bought this blender so my teenage son can make his own smoothies. It felt a bit cheap being mostly plastic but had a thin handle unlike our previous Cuisinart hand blender. This one worked fine while it worked, but the motor part was too thick for little hands as you had to hold it and press the button at the same time. These matched well and the button seemed easy to press, but it worked for about 5 seconds and then stopped. I made sure the blade didn't catch anything, but since we were mixing soft foods (fruit, yogurt, and soy sauce), this shouldn't have been a problem. I've tried using several different outlets, tried different attachments and then no attachments. I even tried to wait a bit and then come back. The troubleshooting guide did not help. There are several warnings in the user manual. This leads me to believe they already know this is not a robust product. As it broke almost immediately and I never tried it, I cannot recommend this product at this time. It's not the first time fruit cocktail. The exchange went smoothly. He did a good job mixing. While I wouldn't call it top notch, you get what you pay for and it worked really well. The exchange process was easy and I received it on time. While I can't guarantee the outcome as the first one had an issue, I can say the replacement worked well for what we need it for.
