I bought this because my bedroom was always cold in the mornings and I woke up earlier than planned. I wanted to stay warm enough to sleep, but my regular blanket didn't help. My friend got a similar blanket from Russia. It was very heavy and very warm. I was looking for something similar and I think I found it here! This duvet offers a great combination of softness, thickness, weight and warmth. If I could change one thing, I would like it to be harder. It ended up being a little easier than I wanted. But other than that it works well and I'm very happy with it. I would buy it again, maybe a king size for the extra weight and draping material on the sides of my queen bed.
