We put a garland on the arch between the dining room and the great room. It used to be decorated with simple Christmas garlands. With an LED strip, an ESP8266 E12 microprocessor, smart Arduino programming, and a wireless connection to our home security/automation system, we now have seasonal decorative lighting. Works exactly as expected. The colors of the LEDs are the same throughout and match well with Adafruit's Arduino NeoPixel library. Because they are decorative, the maximum brightness is set to 50%. Great conversation partner!
