What can I say, they install in 5 minutes and help the tailgate work like new. They also detach from the truck body very easily, which is helpful if you need to remove the tailgate. The only downside I have with the cables is that they aren't made out of any rust resistant material as far as I can tell. Just an ordinary steel cable with crimped ends and covered in plastic for protection. Now I have the third set, they last 2 or 3 years and then one day you look and realize that the cable is rusted and broken on one side. In all fairness, the jacket is frayed at these points, but the cable would not have rusted if it had been made from a slightly higher quality material. (albeit at a higher cost) Choose your poison.
