Tried many cheaper gates before giving in and getting this one, should have went with this first!

We went through a few types of similar styled gates in the $40-$50 range, but they all had terrible latching mechanisms that eventually failed and became almost impossible to open. My parents had a couple of these gates for their dogs and had nothing but praise, so we sprung for a pair to keep our toddler contained in our split-level house. No complaints so far.

Pros

Great gate for keeping out pets/children. Secure and won't harm your doors jam/trim.

Cons

May be too narrow for some pets to comfortably walk through
