Review on ARRIS Surfboard SB6183 Package Black by Mike Pearson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

This modem supports speeds of up to 500+ Mbps Comcast 600 Mbps Plan - Revised

8/6/2020 Revised - add a star I'm adding a star back, the reason why my SB6183 doesn't support this 600 Mbps, due to a cable leak, Comcast sent a technician to an external cable box and fixed the cable connection problem (reinstall cable connector). It now supports wired connections up to 500Mbps, it's still not 600Mbps but it's getting closer. I would say this cable modem supports 500 Mbps, but no more. I left it 4 stars because the Comcast and Arris websites give conflicting information, Comcast officially says it only supports up to 370Mbps and Arris says it's a 676Mbps modem. and - Forget the device type, configuration and firmware updates are remotely controlled by Comcast. - Original review. I spoke to Comcast and Arris tech support. Comcast only supports SB6183 downloads up to 373Mbps, not 676Mbps as advertised by Revain by Arrival. Arris Technical Support insists this is a Comcast issue that is indiscriminately limiting what the modem can do. Comcast Technical Support has shown that their website's support site supports a maximum of 373 Mbps. I'm stuck in the middle of this football game. In order not to get stuck like now, remember that this modem does not support more than 300 Mbit / s. You'll need to buy another modem if you want to upgrade to a higher speed. to plan. Other than that, this modem works fine under the current 200Mbps plan I have with Comcast.
