Privacy + Sunshine + Dog Fear Hacking!

So we live in a busy apartment complex with 3 dogs and 2 cats and we live on the first floor AND we live in a corner unit next to the side door. The complex wasn't that busy when we moved in (and we didn't have a third dog yet) so it wasn't a big deal. Well the 3rd dog is a bit scared which we are working on and on top of that the neighbors have obviously started having fun banging on our windows to make the original dogs panic, lose their shit and the window get. driving the NEW dog from insanity into a hyperdrive of fear. I think it's cool or something. Was thinking of curtains but I love having natural light in my living room WFH office AND if dogs are playing or fighting and accidentally grabbing onto the curtains it would be a disaster. I'm also tired of people staring at us while I sit in the living room hoping for some sunshine. But I also didn't want the weird lighting effect of reflective shades that block UV. So here we are. And I just say WOW! It looks a lot better than I expected and was a lot easier than I expected. Yes, you REALLY only need water. They weren't kidding. I'd recommend a good window scraper or just something hard like a hard cover notepad or something, but it can scratch any improvised tool you use a bit. I would also, as other reviewers have pointed out, measure ahead and have a good knife/razor to trim the edges. And just be patient and trust the process! I was afraid it wouldn't work out so I didn't buy enough on a roll to do all three casements evenly so I made about 1 7/8 windows and then ordered more. If anything changes or coverage falls before we go out (at least 6 months from now) I'll be sure to update the post. But for now it's a lifesaver for this WFH mother dog! And yes, Shepherd is a bit disappointed that he can no longer scare the stupid neighbors, but those annoying neighbors have gone too far! Rschunimagu
