It's efficient, few stops and stationary turns, it basically combines forward motion with turns to cover space faster. Laser mapping is also very good, multiple floor plans can be saved. The ultrasonic sensor on the front doesn't replace some of the camera AI and laser-based obstacle avoidance features that have become popular in robot vacuums of late, but the S9 doesn't. It costs the same as S6 Max, Ecovacs N8 or AIVI. This means that this vacuum rarely touches visible obstacles. There's a bump sensor on the front, but it's often not needed, which is nice for those worried about not scratching the walls. this vacuum opens in an intuitive direction. The 360 S5 opens at the back, which faces the dock and the wall, which made opening difficult at times. The trash can is smaller than on the S5 to make room for a water tank for mopping.
