This is a great feature for its functions. I wanted the keyboard to make it easier to enter certain data on my iPad (5th generation). It also doubles as a kind of stand for video calls. I was able to connect Bluetooth right away and had no problems. I charged the battery and it only took about two hours. I've been using it for about a week, no need to charge yet so I don't know how long it will last. I particularly like the fact that I can detach the iPad for keyboard-free use. I've seen some reviews complaining about the size of the keyboard, but I think that's normal. It might not be practical for people with very large hands, but I'm not entirely sure how to make it bigger as it needs to fit the size of the iPad. Maybe it would help some people if the buttons took up the whole board. I personally like the extra space for the "palm rest". I've always found it better on laptops. It's a personal preference I think. As others have said, the keys aren't backlit and there's no mouse pad, but I don't mind that. You can continue to use the touch screen. So far I am very satisfied with this product and I think it is very good value for money.
