Great idea, great concept, but the result is the same as any other tray because it is not wide enough and not high enough where the sandbox meets the stairs to blocking them simply by stepping on the lower rungs, making the whole concept a mood point. A slightly wider and narrower stairway with a nose wall almost all the way up, you would have no choice but to start and end at the top of the stairway rather than stepping or jumping to the top. below like they do every time now.
