I have had several Marmot coats over the years and they have always been very beautiful and well thought out. It's like a smaller version of an adult coat. It's one color, no gimmicks for kids, just a dependable, well-designed coat. A liner that opens is great because the shell itself is waterproof and breathable, meaning we who live in the Midwest can use it as a spring jacket and all winter. It's close to being usable for us all winter, but so far it's worked well enough even on really cold days.
