Great all round jacket

Warm jacket, good fit and quality item, but versatile in purpose. The case is not waterproof at all, despite Marmot's description. 10 minutes of drizzle and you start to get wet. Everything is fine as a windbreaker, but it lacks the basic functions. The fleece lining is nice and warm and gives you like 3 to 1 the choice. Overall a good product for youth and children but only when on sale but I feel like Marmot has discontinued this jacket. 3.5 stars in my books. Overall not a bad jacket but…

Pros
  • Marmot is a trusted brand known for making quality outdoor gear.
Cons
  • The jacket may not be suitable for intensive outdoor activities as it may limit mobility or breathability.

I love this jacket. When I saw him for the first time, he simply caught my eye with his classic style. It has a removable fleece liner to keep it handy in all but the coldest weather, and it's waterproof and hooded.

Pros
  • Available in stylish shades of navy and blue.
Cons
  • The color blue may not appeal to all boys, which limits his style options.

Great all round jacket

Very good quality and a great way to have multiple options with just one jacket. I got it for my almost 4 year old and it's a bit big but I expected it to fit for a couple of years.

Pros
  • Perfect coat for my 8 year old boy
Cons
  • The fleece lining is not very warm and may not be adequate for colder temperatures.

Three jackets in one

That's a great raincoat! The fiber is soft and beautiful. You can wear it zip-lined for protection from warm weather, with just the shell when it's warmer, and with just the shell as a lightweight jacket in dry weather. The collar has a concealed hood and the lining has zip pockets. Really great jacket.

Pros
  • Adjustable cuffs and hem ensure a comfortable and secure fit
Cons
  • The jacket does not pack or compress heavily, making it difficult to pack away or take with you when you travel.

Amazing light warm jacket

The jacket is ideal for cool or cold weather. The fleece lining is removable in case it gets too hot, while the waterproof outer is ideal for snow or rain. The jacket looks great too. The color goes with everything too.

Pros
  • son loves warmth
Cons
  • Warm but not waterproof

Warm, cozy, comfortable coat for different weather

I ordered the medium but my 9 year old son wears size 10-12 shirts and it fits me (he is skinny) but instead I had to get a large size for more space and longer use. This is a great kit because in San Diego you really need fleece because it hardly ever rains and it never gets cold, but on a rainy day you put on your outerwear and you can go to school. Hooray! for a bit of rain and we tried it and my son liked it when it was dry and warm.

Pros
  • Hooded design provides additional head and neck protection.
Cons
  • Jacket zippers are not very strong and can break or fall apart with frequent use.

High quality boys jacket from Marmot!

Marmot makes quality jackets and this boys jacket is no exception. The build quality is top-notch, with neat stitching and smooth zippers. It is very versatile as you can unzip the fleece lining and use it in three different ways: fleece only, raincover only, or both for maximum warmth and rain protection. Both pieces have a name tag that you can write your child's name on. Here is the sizing info from the Marmot website: S: Age 6-7 M: Age 8-9 L: Age 10-12 XL: Age 13-15 My son is 6 and I have…

Pros
  • Easy to clean and maintain for busy parents
Cons
  • The jacket is not very versatile or multifunctional, it only serves as rain protection and is not suitable for everyday use.

I have had several Marmot coats over the years and they have always been very beautiful and well thought out. It's like a smaller version of an adult coat. It's one color, no gimmicks for kids, just a dependable, well-designed coat. A liner that opens is great because the shell itself is waterproof and breathable, meaning we who live in the Midwest can use it as a spring jacket and all winter. It's close to being usable for us all winter, but so far it's worked well enough even on really cold…

Pros
  • Suitable for a variety of outdoor activities including hiking, camping and going to school
Cons
  • The fleece lining may come loose or unroll after a few uses or washes.

Great jacket suits me

This is a really well made jacket with lots of nice features. I actually bought this for myself as XL guys are about the same size as very small women and I've always really liked the Marmot. The fleece jacket is very soft. The sleeves are held in place with a wrist button and a very easy to use zipper. The outer shell protects well against wind and water. I recently tested this on a vacation to Atlanta where it rained and fogged all day. It kept me perfectly dry and toasted. My only complaint…

Pros
  • The versatile design suits a variety of occasions, from everyday trips to outdoor adventures.
Cons
  • The jacket is not very affordable given its limited functionality and durability compared to other waterproof jackets on the market.

Well made, runs small

This is a great layered coat, well made but runs small. Size can be an issue. The hood is very thin. Here's what I love about this coat: 1. The zipper has velcro to keep it dry. It also creates a great wind barrier.2. The inside of the sleeves is lined with fleece, making it ideal for very cold days.3. Removing the fleece lining turns it into a regular raincoat.4. Not too hard

Pros
  • The medium size is suitable for children of different heights and ages.
Cons
  • The jacket may be non-allergenic or hypoallergenic, which may cause skin irritation or reactions for some wearers.

Great children's jacket for the rainy season

A well-made jacket, especially for cool and wet days. A little difficult to find the right size but otherwise a good buy.

Pros
  • Offers year-round weather protection
Cons
  • The jacket material can attract dust or dirt and requires frequent cleaning.

Buying one size bigger is good for me

I've just opened my size L and it looks more like a size M. I think it will still fit my 11 year old medium sized child but probably quite snug. Switch to XL. The rest looks high quality and warm. Although it seems short for such a thick warm coat, cropping just above the hips.

Pros
  • Multiple pockets provide ample storage space for small items
Cons
  • The jacket may not be suitable for boys who follow fashion or trends.

No raincoat: my assessment

La chamarra cumple todas las especificaciones, lo que no me agrado es que no tuviera claro que estalla para niños, pero el producto es excelente

Pros
  • Enjoys the trust of parents and children because of its functionality and design.
Cons
  • The jacket may not hold up well if exposed to sunlight or UV rays for a long time, which may result in fading or discoloration.

Impressively! new rating

This is a well made jacket for little kids. This is such a neutral gray color that it is comfortable for any gender. However, it is small. Stick to 7 or 8 years.

Pros
  • Lightweight design for easy carrying and moving
Cons
  • Jacket is not machine washable, manual or professional cleaning required.

Great jacket for cool rainy days

Very attractive jacket ideal for rainy and cool days. It is well made and water resistant. I particularly like the fact that you can roll up the top when you don't need it.

Pros
  • Constructed from high quality materials for strength and durability
Cons
  • The jacket may not be suitable for tall or tall boys due to the sizing runs small.

Warm but not bulky

I like that this coat is warm but not bulky. I got this for my son. My guess is that a size large is a boy's size 12. My only complaint is that there is no clear sizing chart for this coat/jacket either here or on the company website. This makes it difficult to choose the right size, since a large child's size will differ from the brand. There is also no size chart, which would also be very handy. The coat itself is well made. I like that it's three in one. Basically you have a winter coat that

True waterproof jacket, versatile 3 in 1 design

Received a size small which is a bit big for a 4 year old. It will be perfect when he is 5 years old! The build quality is excellent. The material is very comfortable. Here in the North East, where it rains and snows a lot, a waterproof case is ideal. Place the sink under the faucet to check and the water will flow immediately. A must have. So practical for traveling in rainy weather! The 3-in-1 design is versatile - take one jacket for all weather conditions: cool, windy, cold and wet. The…

Very nice 3-in-1 jacket for children

Nice 3-in-1 jacket It consists of an outer rain cover and a fleece lining that opens and feels like a Jacket can be worn. More on each part. Shell: * Waterproof/breathable, seams are taped to stay dry. * Built-in hood. No drawstring (this is a kids coat) but it rolls up and stows in the collar.* Elastic cuffs on sleeves.* Reflective piping on yoke of jacket.* Zippered pockets with pull tabs. Mesh is throughout the sleeve area on most of the body.* Name patch on both sides of the jacket.* Fleece
