Turning it on can be an issue

I had the first version of the Anchor but I sold it with the truck because the buyer was willing to pay extra for it. I have this version and it's a different experience. The main problem is that it doesn't turn on reliably. Both trucks (the first '04 Sierra, the second '10 Silverado) have the USB connected to the accessory bus, which also powers the radio. With the old version, I could start up and then, while holding down the "Up" key, turn on the receiver. With this version it starts and the receiver does not turn on. There is only one button and it doesn't respond. To make it work I have to remember to turn the key to the accessory, wait for the blue LED to flash, then start the engine and then it usually, but not always, turns off during engine start (truck cuts the power supply). to USB when starting the engine) and the receiver restarts. Other times I have to disconnect and wait and then reconnect everything. The second problem is that this version is a single button. Answers calls, pauses and plays correctly depending on the situation. But I have neither forward nor backward. It was the old version. It would be unsafe to use the phone while driving, so I actually lost those features. One of the improvements in the new version is the reduction of feedback. In the old version you got pitch feedback that went up and down with the RPM of the engine. In this version I can still hear it when the receiver is on, but otherwise removed. So I know his feedback from the generator and I know that the new version has active feedback reduction. It has been very well done and is an improvement on the sound. The first issue is so big that I would consider going back and trying a different brand.
