I bought this 3 way hitch because I recently bought a trailer to tow behind my pickup and I wanted to be able to move the trailer without a truck. The trailer is too heavy to push by hand so I wanted to use my quad but needed a ball hitch on the quad. This three-way clutch works perfectly. I can still use a regular pin hole for the ATV hitch, but now I have a 2" ball that goes with it. The only downside (and this isn't a problem with the hitch design) is that without an air wrench it's difficult to get enough torque on the bolts to keep the hitch from turning. Luckily I have an air wrench and it tightened well. If you don't have one, I would suggest using a half inch ratchet with an extension or brake rod.
