Instead, it comes with two durable SMOOTH blades that are razor sharp and ready to go. While serrated blades are technically convenient for those learning or infrequently using, this model's smooth, thick, sharp blades make it ideal for those who need to beat 80 hooves a day every two months. This is normal, because whoever uses them more than once takes a piece of leather and sews or rivets a holster with a belt loop! It's easy to keep them from falling into the mud, snow and mud every time you put them down to snatch another sheep or goat! It's a 10 minute project that can be actively used for years! Finally and most importantly, the angled blades are not pointed but have a rounded tip.
