Cable is solid but overall this product doesn't work. I had a hard time following the setup instructions, but after a bit of trial and error I got everything working. In a torrent of anger I called him for a long time and was just about to hike—in my last attempt to call him back with the promise of a treat and a walk, the good boy, clumsy on foot, came down the hill again. Good luck and a very well-behaved puppy saved this situation from total disaster. If we lived close to town or close to transport, it could cost us his life. That's perhaps the best price for the length of cord and cord - you're buying it knowing the modifications will need to be made and a secure leash.
