This product appears to work as advertised. The plugs are rotated 90 degrees, but that's not a problem for me. The only issue where this can play a role is active power consumers, such as household appliances; and under no circumstances may you connect any device to any of these units. If you need appliance surge protection, you should probably have an electrician install a level 2 fuse in your fuse box. One of these protects your entire home from things like lightning strikes.
