I bought this racquet out of necessity. I have a 40 x 60 inch 2x6 laminated desktop and it needed to be smoothed and leveled to be accurate (I had a pinch fracture while curing overnight...). I tied it to my router, to the alignment tool and got to work. Overall I removed at least 3/16" from some portions of the table and up to 5/8" from a significant portion. At 1" wide and 50% overlap you can quickly see that it took over 90 passes to get to the final size and then I started over to secure it. I removed another 1/16 inch from the entire surface, making a total of nearly 200 passes across the surface over the course of several hours. The only error I encountered was that the router started the bit about halfway through. A quick trip to the local hardware store, a new router in hand and back in business. It's still sharp, like new sharpness. It worked flawlessly and provided a very nice finish that required very little sanding to get it into shape. I've never had an excessive load on the router or chatter as if it was having trouble getting through. And I have to admit that I probably erased too much material in one go several times. Would I buy again... but I hope I won't need it...
