The universal key works great with the new key and remote start.
The key is just great! Also came with a battery already installed which just fitted perfectly. Programming was easy, even if you unlock the driver's door 5 times you can see on the DLC display key number 2, 3 or 4 is ready to be programmed, insert the working key in the cup holder, insert the new key into the key slot under the center console armrest, a beep will sound and it will be programmed to complete the process after pressing the ignition button twice and then the unlock button.
