So I was looking for a magnetic car mount that wasn't too bulky and didn't need to be attached to an air conditioner vent. This one is good for what you are looking for. I can place it anywhere on the dash or even the windshield where it's still visible to me without blocking the air conditioner vent. I can also customize where I want my phone to point. This order comes with 2 inexpensive mounts, so I can use the second one on my desktop too. The package includes everything you need to prepare the surface on which the mount will be placed. I wanted to make sure the magnet had a strong hold before placing it on the correct surface and it has a very strong hold. Even with a little movement, it holds up very well.
