Be patient, it's worth it!

Amazing! Now I have the art style loft I dreamed of! I have walls with a basebuilder texture and of course it was very difficult to avoid bubbles. However, I smoothed them into creases on the stones, which adds even more depth and texture. I've also added putty to the top edge where I may have cut a bit askew, and rounded the corner edges to look a bit like plaster of paris touching the wall. For more 3D erection I shaded the light switches where you would expect them. All in all it took HOURS but the effect is almost as good as brick siding for 10 times the price!
