I think they did well. It appeared to remove scale, but it took many passes to achieve that glossy look - and my shower was never really "dirty," so I was mostly hoping to get rid of the dull scale from our mineral-rich well water. These brushes worked well - the weight of the Makita you put them on was fine initially, but after 5 minutes it got heavy. I spent about an hour using different cleaning products and finally a bleach bath. The shower looks much better but still not perfect. And my hands hurt...
