Works great. Used it to suck up dirt, small rocks and debris from my irrigation barrel that a neighbor shoveled over my irrigation pump. Used a hose to spray water into a barrel while Medas' pump sucked out dirty debris. He later used it to suck water out of a small ornamental pond to clean it. First you need to be at least an inch deep in the water, then suck it up to a quarter thickness, pull it out and turn it off or the water will run back in the pump. It's almost inaudible when submerged, but not loud out of the water compared to other pumps I've used.
