I use this as a suspender belt and it looks great. I sanded and painted the wooden ends to look like Christmas garlands and wrapped the pole in garlands. Looks very festive and is a fraction of the cost of other garter belts I've looked at. It will definitely be good as a hanger. Very easy to assemble and the bottom is weighted so it's pretty solid.
