I picked this up for my 2000 Honda Shadow VLX 600, I only wanted it for the rack to mount a tour pack onto.First off, you're going to want to pick up some new shorter hardware and washers as the ones the send are wimpy and too long, so they'll hit and scratch your fender. With some commen sense and time you'll be easily able to put this together.I've sat on it with my full weight and it didn't bugde, I wanted to make sure my wife's tour pack would go anywhere as she's leaning back on it.Welds are okay, not great but hold.Chrome is chromey, part of the backrest was scratched, little upsetting but as I stated I wouldn't be using that for now.If you're looking for a decent aftermarket backrest, this is the one. Don't expect an amazingly perfect product, this is EbayI will be updating this as time goes on and I get use out of it.
