Great budget monitor for work and play.

With the caveat that $300 is a bit pricey for a 1080p monitor that isn't specifically designed for gaming, if you're looking for a monitor that's perfect for. Work and play appropriate. . I usually use two monitors for work, but while working at home I worked with just a 27-inch 1080p flat panel for a while, making it difficult to read information going from one edge of the screen to the other; So I looked for the most aggressively curved screen I could find and settled on the Samsung T55 series with its impressive 1000R curved screen. On my old flat screen I used to work mostly on one side of the screen and when I needed to read information from the other side of the screen I had to physically bend down to do it, now with the Samsung T55 monitor I mostly sit in the middle of the screen and can comfortably and work effortlessly from one edge of the screen to the other. An aggressive curve strains him. I have to say that a 1080p 32" monitor isn't ideal for work as text is noticeably pixelated and smaller copyrighted text can be unreadable without magnification, but I can live with that. I probably would have opted for the 27" Samsung T55 series, but I also wanted the biggest monitor I could find to play my PS4 (I live in a small apartment and don't have the space to put a large separate TV.) The 27-inch -Screen is too small if you want to immerse yourself in beautifully rendered game worlds; the Samsung's extra 5 inches went all out, and its aggressive "natural" curvature allows you to sit even closer to the screen comfortably, making this monitor appear much larger than it actually is. Even with Samsung's "Cinema" preset, the picture is amazingly bright with deep colors, the new Spider-Man: Miles Morales PS4 game I'm making for the first time l played on this monitor was great as shown in the attached photos. in this review. If you can't live with reading finely pixelated text, you should know what you're getting into with the Samsung T55 monitor. If you use this monitor primarily for work, consider the 27-inch model. If you want something to play on too, and want the largest 16:9 aspect ratio monitor available and at a decent "budget" price point (true 1440p and 4K gaming monitors with curved edges This size can easily cost twice as much) and more) , the 32-inch Samsung T55 monitor will be hard to beat. Now, if you'll excuse me, I need to spin more Spider-Man webs.

Pros
  • Good picture quality
Cons
