They seem pretty strong (more on that in a moment). Bought it because I've always liked the look. They came quickly, well packaged and the workmanship was great. Abstracts are not cheap. The next part is dedicated to the jeep. Installation is very easy, just a few screws to remove the taillight. Disconnect/connect the wiring harness and reassemble everything. But the passenger side is hard. The guards are a simple setup, but getting to the Jeep's wiring harness wasn't easy. There isn't much room on the wiring harness. I had to work really hard. That's how the jeep works - not the fault of the guards. durable part. . . My passenger skid has shifted so the horizontal bars are not level with the ground but are angled left to top to right. Probably just a bad day for QC. Causes VERY slight chafing on underside of tailgate hinge when fully open. So why not send it back? I figured I could gently bend the bars to a horizontal position. nope I figured I could heat the joints of the bars and bend them to a horizontal position. nope I thought of putting it in a vise and gently bending it to a horizontal position. nope This is really a difficult thing. They will surely outlive the taillights and possibly other parts of the jeep. My only complaint was the quality control for a security guard. I would buy again.
