These boot trays are a good size for 3 pairs of large boots. The shape is well thought out and the inner bottom has raised ribs that keep the boots in place and allow water, melted snow etc to drain off the boots. However, the trays are made of rubber and the rubber has not properly cured, so these trays emit a very strong rubber smell. The smell is so strong that it is almost impossible to leave trays in the house. You could just put the trays and boots outside where the smell isn't important, but that defeats the purpose. Who wants to store their boots outside where they won't dry out and freeze when needed, and when you put them outside you don't need a tray. If the same mold was used with a properly cured good quality rubber that would be great. Therefore, they should not be used as shoe racks in the home.
