Review on Sony SRF59SILVER Walkman Stereo Radio by Brandon Wong

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Decent radio for just under $20

This is a good radio for the price and the headphones that come with are pretty good too, good base and nice feel. Tuning stations is easy and the tuning knob rotates easily. I can tune into one of my favorite local FM stations on 107.7" and it sounds pretty clear. When I got it they were playing a football game so I was a bit disappointed because the day I got it , couldn't listen to rock music. in China. And like most things made in China, it's usually made cheaply to save the company money. It's built pretty well, but the battery compartment feels like it could break if I drop it. It also has a switch for FM SENS for local or DX tuning. Another switch on top that allows you to switch from AM to FM and vice versa. As smartphones still don't have the option of local Buying radio stations this was a good buy I think it's because a lot of tech companies are investing more in smartphones these days so no one has explored ways to minimize radios to be small enough to fit in smartph ones to match. This radio is pretty small. It's a bit thicker than my smartphone and a bit shorter, plus it has a belt clip that frees up space in my pocket for my phone and other stuff.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Upgrade available
