Paired with fiveteen freeriders, you can't even come close to falling into the trap without doing it. I have 10.5 shoes and the little sneakers were perfect and there was still plenty of room. I'd say if you don't have a very large foot, small might be a better choice for spacing etc. It looks like part of the difference between the models is in thickness, so 7 is thinner than 3. I have 3, ride in rocky New England and marked with the small size with minimal bumps so value for money not worth going 7th in my opinion. I use CBs on all my road and mountain bikes, platforms and clips and have always been happy with them.
